A wee outage?
Well, maybe – I’m intending upgrading too WordPress 2.0 tonight, to fix some bugs in the RSS feed. In theory, it should all go very well, but I thought I’d mention it. Just in case it all goes, you know, wierd.

Was having a wee play of the Zelda Collector’s Disk for the gamecube (which is basically, Legend of Zelda, Adventures of Link, Ocarina of Time and Majora’s Mask running under emulation on the GameCube). Anyway, it started off as a brief go and then it turned into a ‘my God, I forgot how ACE this

I’ve been tinkering today. Had a go of Castlevania and got stuck at a boss. I wasn’t really in the mood for the exploreyness, which is a serious drawback in Castlevania, given that the central drive of the game is colouring in the map. So, quick go of Fire Emblem. Failed utterley on Chapter 5

Right. So, the film is what – 90 minutes? 90 minutes of crawling about. In the dark. In tiny cramped spaces. While being pursued by hideous flesh-eating Gollum look-a-likies. I’m traumatised. I feel absolutely exhausted and drained. What an amazingly ACE movie!

Chapter 3 complet0rised. Pretty easy, really – sneak in, gubb the bandits, make off with the goodies. Still, this is all still tutorial territory, really. Later that day……. Chapter 4 defeat0red. Loads of nastie beasties were coming at me from all sides, and it was pretty tricky to balance my little gang so that the

Back to Fire Emblem. I’ve started again because Easy mode was a bit, well, easy. Things aren’t much tougher on Normal, to be honest – the only real difference is in the lack of hints. Any RPG which gives you a Paladin as a starting character isn’t going to be hugely tricky. The challenge, of

I have a bit of a love/hate thing going on with Stephen Donaldson. He manages to create the most loathsome, irritating and frustrating characters and then drops them into compelling storylines. I spend my time between urging them on then being frustrated when they stubbornly refuse to behave the way I would 🙂 Runes of

“That movie was brilliant.” Coming from Tristan, that’s high praise indeed. Normally a question like ‘did you enjoy that’ will illicit a response of ‘yeah’, if you’re lucky. Unprompted praise is a rare thing indeed. Then again, Appleseed is pretty special. Not the best Manga in the world, but certainly a damn sight better than
