This is simply breathtaking. Global warming is causing the Arctic ice to melt at a much faster rate than expected, with the net result being that it is now possible to sail from the Atlantic to the Pacific via the polar shortcut, and the water is clear and open all the way.
And how are Europe, the US, and Canada responding to this? With concern for all the fresh water being dumped into the ocean which risks the mid-atlantic currents? Concern for the rising waterlines? No, of course not – they’re bickering about who gets to use the new channel as a trade route.
Human arrogance is simply staggering sometimes.
