Is there anybody out there?

We discovered, purely by accident, on Thursday night, that our case officer was on holiday on Thursday on Friday. So nothing was done those two days. That’s alright though – everyone is allowed holidays.

Over the weekend, we had a lot of opportunities to think about whether or not the migration agents provided value for money. We feel very poorly informed indeed. We don’t even know if Adelaide have even received the medicals. The one area where they’ve been excellent is during the skills assessment phase, as they were able to provide very good guidance in regards to the overall presentation and content of the assessments.

Other than that, though – I feel we’re really at their mercy and they are incredibly vague with timescales. In all fairness, though, I think that’s more down to the hideously inhuman nature of the migration process more than anything else.
