Anno 1701 (DS)

Anno 1701 Box ArtAnd so another lunch hour is mercilessly devoured by Anno. I’m on Chapter 3 mission 8 (still) where I’ve formed a pretty successful colony (but need….. more…. land…!) and am building a small fleet to head out and attack the pirate’s home island. Trouble is, upgrading warships and troops at the academy is expensive – comes to 22k gold all in. So, I have the economy running pretty well, but am not able to be self-sufficient so I have to spend quite a bit on luxury items to keep the people happy. And I don’t have enough land to get complete police station / hospital coverage so peoples happiness rating periodically plummets when they’re burgled / catch the plague. Basically, I’m waiting for gold to accumulate which watching like a hawk to make sure the income doesn’t dip and to quickly buy luxuries as needed. It’s knackering.
