Kirby – Nightmare in Dreamland (GBA)
No Kirby game should ever be held up as evidence that the people who make games for Nintendo are normal. Because they’re not. Kirby is quite clearly the product of too many late nights indulging in illicit substances. Basically, you control an amorphous pink blob who, as well as scuttling around on the ground, can leap about in the air, take a bodyful of breath and float about, sook in enemies and absorb their powers.
So far, I’ve completed Level one (which is comprised of four or five zones and a boss battle). There are seven levels in all. I think this may be a bit of a short-fun blast, than an engrossing lunch-hour filler 🙂 Still, it’s lovely and cheerful.
