Oh dear.
Oh dear. I’m not doing a very good job of keeping things up to date, am I? A bit of good news is that all the entries that were previously hosted by ujournal should be recovered later this week. The ujournal database has been taken over by aboutmylife.net, so I should be able to dig out all the old stuff – a bit of a relief really, as the old blog documents a pretty difficult part of our lives.
Anyhoo, there’s been a lot happening lately. We’re considering moving home, assuming we can find somewhere we both like. We’ve not really been comfortable in our home since the fire – mostly because everything is brand new and no longer has any character. Still, we’ll see what happens. We’ve been looking at some little miners cottages in Newtongrange – they’re very appealing, but the gardens aren’t great. We’d miss our little orchard, I suspect.
Work has been, well, busy – to say the least. Having a great time working with a fantastic bunch of people and getting to do a wide range of things. Rather than being pigeonholed into unix-land, I’m also doing some coding in java and perl, as well as mucking in with the HTML. It’s nice to be in a situation where everyone is clued enough to muck in with whatever needs doing.
The children are sprouting at an uncanny rate. Tristan seems to grow by an inch every day just now. I suspect Debbie’s planting him in a pot of soil at night or something. Matthew seems to be growing out the way – the boy is built like a tank. Harmony just gets girlier with every passing day.
