I think the problem is that I’m playing in too linear a fashion and should really be revisiting cleared levels to train up the weaker characters. Imagine the depth of play, character progression and branching storyline of Final Fantasy and add in the turn based tactical combat of both

Had a fairly intense session at lunch today. Defeated half a dozen trainers, trained my little gang up to level 10, captured a Slakoth, a Silcoon, a Lotad, a Taillow, and a Maril. Went for an adventure in the woods. Defeated some more trainers. Popped back to town to check out my new acquisitions and……
