Christmas is coming

and I have two very excited little boys. Harmony Constance isn’t particularly bothered (being a mere two years old) but Tristan and Matthew are getting a little, err, hyper. I love this time of year – the whole period makes sense once you have children to share it with, although a visit to the shops can be depressing (if not downright maddening). The frenzy of consumerism gets a little wearing after a while. We were in tesco today doing some grocery shopping and the amount of people we saw who were downright furious because they had to wait in a long queue to buy a 24 pack of Stella (or somesuch) was remarkable. For a time of peace, Christmas really does seem to bring out the very worst in a lot of people.
