Castlevania – Dawn of Sorrow (Nintendo DS)

DS ACCESS GET! The kids are all doing their homework so I snarfed the DS to have a wee go of the above. It’s ACE! I think I need to wait until the Nintendogs mania has worn off a little so I can get a good run at it though.

Couple of minor quibbles – both control related. The default button layout is horrible – I hope it can be reconfigured. Secondly, the stylus bits show a complete lack of regard for those of us who are Kerr fisted (left handed for you unfortunate non-celts). Trying to frantically clear away blocks with my bad hand while ducking and jumping with my good hand isn’t fun. Maybe I’ll get used to it.

It’s certainly very pretty too. But I’m hankering for Final Fantasy II on my tiny wee Micro – the DS feels very big these days. Not as gargantuan as those big expensive slabs of tat Sony are attempting to shift these days, though 🙂
