It’s been a while, hasn’t it? It’s been a very strange couple of months. It’s taking some time to get back into the swing of being in our old house again. Even now, it doesn’t feel quite right. Everything is too new, a touch uncomfortable. I suppose it’s to be expected but it doesn’t make it any easier to live with.

Still, the weather has brightened up considerably (for Scotland). I think we’re going to be in for a nice summer. It’s been very warm of late, which lends itself nicely to warm evenings with cold beer in the garden :)

homeAudit has been doing quite well over on nelesoft.com. The PC version hasn’t sold terribly well, but then it’s been suffering from a severe lack of promotion. What I need to do is try and get it on some cover disks. There’s also a few updates that need to be made – importing CSV files, that kind of thing. Also, a buld against the new version of REALbasic wouldn’t go amiss.

We’ve been toying with the idea of moving house recently, mainly because we (well, I) feel slightly uncomfortable in the old house. Don’t really want to uproot the children, though – they’ve been uprooted quite enough in the past year. Still, we’ll see how it goes.

I did a spot of games programming over the weekend as well – toying with the idea of doing a MacOS X robtron-a-likey. Got some lovely rez-in and explosion routines written than spit multicoloured pixels in all directions – very Yak :)

Well, we did it, we had the neighbours round on Saturday night for a Welcoming Party. It was very nice to have a social evening to talk to them and thank them for their help on the night of the fire.

I feel that we have reached some kind of conclusion of the whole fire episode with having had the party with the neighbours and having our homeAudit software out there gives us hope that others will be prepared in terms of insurance for their contents should anything horrible happen to them.

Matthews birthday party was yesterday and it was a very relaxed affair with a few of his close friends. He turns 6 years old tommorrow and I just find it amazing that he has grown so quickly from being a little crawling baby into a clever little boy that is just shining at school. He is a very kind little boy – yesterday at the party he was given Scooby doo figures and he happily shared them with his friends – in the middle of the party they had a little imaginary adventure :-D . He is an amazing wee boy and we are very proud of him.
